Five stone ruby and diamond cluster ring. Horizontally set with five oval French cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.00 carats, surrounded by twenty round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.60 carats, to an openwork cluster design featuring millegrain edging, a pierced gallery with chenier detail and open backholing, leading to engraved shoulders and flowing through to a tapering shank with intricate foliate decoration. Tested platinum, circa 1920.
