Fire opal and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval cabochon natural unenhanced fire opal in a closed back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 3.50 carats, further set with thirty three round eight cut diamonds in openback grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.40 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring millegrain edging, a linear pierced gallery and fancy shaped open backholing flanked by openwork tri-split shoulders flowing down to a solid flat shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, circa 1950.
