Description
Edwardian deep Royal Blue Burmesesapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with an oval old cutnatural unenhanced deep Royal Blue Burmese sapphire in an open backclaw setting with an approximate weight of 1.60 carats, encircled by a single row of ten round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 1.10 carats, further flanked with two round eight cut diamonds in open grain settings with a combined weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate weight is 1.14 carats, to an oval coronet cluster with stylised pierced gallery and fancy backholing, gently sloping shoulders which lead through to a subtle chamfered edge before terminating to a solid D-shapeshank. Markedplatinum, circa 1915, accompanied by Gemresearch Swisslab report #GRS2017-062599.
