Edwardian Ceylon sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural and unenhanced ceylon sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 3.30 carats, further set with twenty four round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats, to an elegant cluster design featuring millegrain edging, an intricately pierced scalloped gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by trumpeting openwork shoulders flowing through to a solid tapering grooved shank. Tested platinum, circa 1915, accompanied by a Swiss Gemmological Institute report (SSEF) #106904.
