Diamond cocktail ring, American, circa 1950. A platinum and iridium ring with heavy bombé bezel, the central horizontal marquise shaped section pavé set with nineteen round brilliant cut diamonds, set to top and bottom with flaring single rows of sixteen rectangular baguette cut diamonds in channel settings with an approximate total weight of 1.10 carats, above an openwork gallery supported by cheniers, and flanked by raised split tapered diamond shaped shoulders set with fourteen round brilliant cut diamonds in bead settings, all thirty three round brilliant cut diamonds with an approximate total weight of 2.00 carats, on a square shank, and with an approximate combined diamond weight of 3.10 carats.
