Set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open backclaw setting with an approximate weight of 0.85 carats, further set with sixteen round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.32 carats, further adorned with twenty rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back channel settings with a combined weight of 0.90 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.07 carats, to a striking openwork cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced geometric gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by trumpeting split shoulders flowing through to a solid D-shaped shank. Markedplatinum and iridium, numbered '1096' American, circa 1940.
