In 1921, under the leadership of Jacques Cartier, Cartier established their London Workshop, English Art Works on the third floor of their New Bond Street boutique. They brought over two talented jewellers from their already established ateliers and nurtured a team of talented craftsmen, taking on between five and six English apprentices each year.

The workshop became the engine room of the New Bond Street boutique as Cartier London soon developed a style and identity of its own.
