6.25 carat old mine diamond two stone ring. Set with two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover settings, one with an approximate weight of 3.10 carats, the other 3.15 carats, decorated with twenty round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.40 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 6.65 carats, to an impressive two stone design featuring intricate openwork with millegrain edging, a decoratively engraved gallery with scrolling and foliate motifs and fancy shape open backholing, leading to tapering engraved shoulders which flow through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1910.
