Burmese sapphire and diamond three stone ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.50 carats, flanked by two round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combine approximate weight of 0.24 carats, to a stylish graduating three stone design with curving claws, intricately pierced open gallery and circular backholing, the raised open shoulders flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat white gold, indistinct maker's mark, numbered '8900', circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #78165-47.
