Description

Burmese ruby and diamond marquise cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.60 carats, further set with eighteen cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.75 carats, to an elegant marquise shape cluster design featuring curving claws, a pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to intricately carved shoulders with scrolling detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-2748.
