Burmese ruby and diamond five stone ring. Set horizontally with three cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese rubies in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.75 carats, further set with two cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.30 carats, to an elegant five stone design featuring curving stylised claws, an intricately pierced gallery with scrolling motifs and fancy shape open backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders with carved detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-2957.
