Ruby five stone ring. Horizontally set with a graduated row of five cushion shape mixed cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back claw settings with a combined weight of 1.40 carats to an elegant five stone design featuring an intricately pierced gallery with scrolling motifs and fancy open backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders with ornate detail and leading through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, 'J.W.K' maker's mark, late 19th Century.
