Burmese red spinel and diamond dress ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese red spinel, in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 2.80 carats, flanked by two round brilliant cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, to an impressive dress ring design featuring polished borders set above a grooved background, a smooth gallery and open backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum and tested yellow gold, inscribed to interior '1077 HI', circa 1970, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-3246.
