Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with a natural unenhanced square step cut sapphire in an open back millegrain rubover setting with an approximate weight of 1.00 carats, flanked by two round old diamonds in grain set millegrain box collets with a combined weight of 1.00 carats, bordered by a single row of thirty four old single cut diamonds with a combined weight of 0.68 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.68 carats, to intricate piercing work on the shoulders and an ornate openwork scrolling motif gallery, conforming to the finger down to a ridged solid shank. Tested platinum, circa 1925.
