Description

Art Deco diamond cluster ring. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond in an open back grain setting with a weight of 0.40 carats, set to top and bottom with four round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.28 carats and flanked by twelve round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.60 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.28 carats, to a stylish geometric step cluster with a central raised square collet, intricately pierced openwork, open linear gallery and square backholing, the slightly trumpeting open shoulders lead to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, numbered '5615', circa 1925.
