Baguette cut diamond and ruby ring. Set horizontally with six rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back channel settings with an approximate total weight of 1.50 carats, adorned further with fifty round eight cut diamonds with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, decorated further with four calibre cut natural unenhanced rubies in rubover settings with an approximate total weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.00 carats to an ornate linear design featuring millegrain decoration throughout, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by raised trumpeting shoulders and flowing through to a finely engraved tapering flat shank with stylised foliate decoration. Tested platinum, early 20th Century.
