Description

Antique ornate diamond cluster ring. Set with five round old cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 1.25 carats, further set with twelve round old cut diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.70 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.95 carats, to a fancy cluster design with scalloped edging, intricately pierced gallery and shaped backholing, the curving integrated shoulders flowing down to a solid D-shaped shank. Tested yellow gold, indistinct maker's mark, numbered '32727', circa 1900.
