Ancient Roman gold ring with glass cabochon. Set centrally with a circular glass inset in an closed back rubover collet setting, encompassed by a frame of triple granule clusters with further triangular clusters of pellets to the wide integrated shoulders, which taper down to a D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, approximately 5.5g in weight, circa 1st-2nd century AD.
