Set horizontally with an elliptical shaped carnelian cabochon in a closed backrubovercollet setting, with a fine scrolling gold frame with scalloped edge, flanked by broad solid shaped shoulders with ridged detail and tapering down to a D-shapeshank. Tested yellow gold, approximately 8.22 grams in weight, circa 4th century AD.
