Ancient Roman gold ring with agateintaglio of Minerva. Set with an oval banded agate intaglio to centre of the standing goddess Minerva with long robes and helmet, holding a winged statue of Victory, a spear and a shield, in a closed backrubover setting with frame, flanked by heavy shaped tapered shoulders, to a D-shapeshank. Tested yellow gold, approximate weight 7.79g, circa 2nd-3rd century.
