Description

Ancient Roman gold ring with agate intaglio of Minerva. Set with an oval banded agate intaglio to centre of the standing goddess Minerva with long robes and helmet, holding a winged statue of Victory, a spear and a shield, in a closed back rubover setting with frame, flanked by heavy shaped tapered shoulders, to a D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, approximate weight 7.79g, circa 2nd - 3rd century.
