Ancient Roman charioteer silver ring. Inset with an oval repoussé work gold plaque with a charioteer in a biga, surrounded by a raised rim, flanked by broad substantial integrated keeled shoulders and tapering through to a D-shape shank. Tested silver, approximately 17g in weight, circa 3rd century AD.

A biga is a two horse chariot, used for the sport of racing and transportation.
