Description

Pink Ceylon star sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval cabochon natural unenhanced pink Ceylon star sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 4.50 carats, further set twelve cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.40 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by openwork tri-split shoulders leading to a solid slim grooved shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, English, circa 1905, accompanied by GPL report # 18371.
