 Description

Diamond cocktail ring. Horizontally set to centre with two round old cut diamonds in open back grain set millegrain box collet settings with a combined weight of 0.70 carats, flanked by two vertical rows of round rose cut diamonds in open back grain and millegrain settings, eight in total with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.80 carats, to a heavy stepped yellow gold form with curving horizontal rows to top and bottom, intricate pierced backholing and a conforming finger gallery, with heavy shoulders tapering down to a solid flat shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, French control marks, circa 1940.
