Victorian ruby cluster ring. Set with one cushion shape star top natural no heat Siam ruby in an open back grain setting with an approximte weight of 0.50 carats, and two round star top natural unenhanced Siam rubies in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats, bordered by eighteen round mixed old cut diamonds in open back grain and cut-down settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.60 carats. The total approximate ruby weight is 1.00 carats, to a graceful oval triple cluster design featuring a pierced scalloped gallery and open backholing, leading to carved shoulders with groove detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold with silver settings, maker's mark for J.W. Benson, English, circa 1880, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80264-10.
