Description

Victorian Ceylon sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with a weight of 2.11 carats, surrounded by twelve cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to carved tri-split shoulders and flowing through to a solid grooved shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-2629.
