Post medieval . A smoothly conforming yellow gold band, to the interior in italic script 'Love is the bond of peace', approximately 4.7mm in width and 2.4mm thick. yellow gold, approximately 7.81 grams in weight, late 17th-early 18th century.

This ring is near identical (apart from the use of an S for a C) to that found on a plain posy ring held by the British Museum (BM accession number: AF:13338) and numerous examples published by Evans (1931: 73-4).

Accompanied by documentation from the Portable Antiquities Scheme stating that this ring was found whilst metal detecting in Hartford, Oxfordshire in 2022. It is recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference OXON-FC03F7; and disclaimed under the Treasure Act.
