The Edwardian period (1901–1915) is often referred to as the Garland Era, reflecting the light, elegant motifs that defined its jewellery. Inspired by the neoclassical designs of the 18th century, jewellers embraced graceful garlands, floral wreaths, bows, ribbons and laurel swags, crafting intricate, lace-like compositions in platinum. Wreaths, symbolising eternity, honour and everlasting love, became one of the era's most enduring motifs, their delicate forms brought to life with old-cut diamonds and fine millegrain detailing that exemplify Edwardian craftsmanship.
