Set with a rectangular citrine in an setting with an approximate weight of 40.00 and decorated with ten round eight-cut in open back settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.30 carats, to an impressive statement necklace featuring sculptural bow detailing and linear textured goldwork throughout, the heavy articulated chain terminating with an integrated clasp and safety catch. 18 carat gold, 1945.

Chairman's Notes

This piece features the Tunisian hallmark for 18 carat yellow gold (a horse's head). This hallmark was in use between 1942 and 1955 and follows the French methodology of hallmarking, Tunisia being a French Protectorate at the time.
