Set with a rectangular emerald-cut natural citrine in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 40.00 carats and decorated with ten round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.30 carats, to an impressive statement necklace featuring sculptural bow detailing and linear textured goldwork throughout, the heavy articulated chain terminating with an integrated clasp and safety catch. Marked 18 carat gold, circa 1945.

The necklace is in excellent condition.
This piece features the Tunisian hallmark for 18 carat yellow gold (a horse's head). This hallmark was in use between 1942 and 1955 and follows the French methodology of hallmarking, Tunisia being a French Protectorate at the time.
