Set to center with one no-heat round mixed cut yellow sapphire in settings with an approximate weight of 1.75 , flanked by fourteen round in open back with a combined approximate weight of 0.85 carats to an elegant design featuring an intricately pierced and fancy open backholing flowing through to solid . 18 carat yellow and , 1915.

Director's Notes

Traditionally we associate sapphires with the colour blue, however there is a whole other world of naturally occurring fancy coloured sapphires that many people aren’t aware of, like this natural no-heat yellow sapphire. The fancy colours are caused by a mix of other elements, namely chromium, iron and titanium for purple or violet hues and iron for yellow sapphires.
