Sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural no heat sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.57 carats, surrounded by sixteen round transitional cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.80 carats, to an impressive coronet cluster design featuring polished edges, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to slightly raised shoulders with open work and ridging detail, flowing through to a solid D shape shank. Marked platinum, makers mark, French, circa 1950, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) report #145278.
