Edwardian diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond, I colour, VS1 clarity, with a weight of 0.81 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked by ten round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.91 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws, a pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to slightly raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #2231487990.
