Burmese ruby and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural no heat Burmese ruby with an approximate weight of 1.00 carats, encircled by sixteen round transitional cut diamonds in open back claw and cut-down settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.65 carats, and flanked by two round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.04 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.69 carats, to an elongated cluster design featuring polished edges, a pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to slightly raised shoulders which flow through to a solid square shank. Marked 18 carat white gold, settings tested platinum, marked 'E', circa 1950, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5786-0805.
