Edwardian sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 2.10 carats, further set with thirty-six round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 2.00 carats, to an elegant octagonal cluster design featuring millegrain edging, an ornately pierced scrolling gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by tri-split shoulders with fleur-de-lis motifs and flowing smoothly down to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold with platinum settings, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification services report #5776-3340.
