Burmese sapphire and diamond crossover ring. Set with one cushion shape old cut natural no heat Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.55 carats, further set with one cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.60 carats, adorned with twenty nine round mixed old cut diamond in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.55 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.15 carats, to an elegant crossover design, featuring curving claws, a pierced and polished gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to integrated shoulders and flowing through to a solid ridged shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by a Gemmological Certification Services report #5782-916.
