Art Deco colour change sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old minenatural unenhanced Ceylon colour change sapphire, blue in daylight, purple in incandescent light, in an open backclaw setting with an approximate weight of 7.30 carats, flanked by two rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.44 carats, further adorned by four rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.22 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.66 carats, to an impressive geometric design with curving double claws, polished edges, a linear openwork gallery and fancy open backholing, the horizontally stepped shoulders flowing to a solid D-shapeshank. Markedplatinum, English, circa 1930, accompanied by a Gemmological Certification Services report #78142-80.
