Sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back rubover setting with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, encircled by ten cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain and rubover settings with a total approximate weight of 0.70 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design with scalloped edges, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by inwardly tapering shoulders, flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and settings tested palladium, circa 1940.
