Edwardian sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape mixed cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 3.13 carats, further adorned by sixteen round eight cut diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.65 carats, to an impressive coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, the slightly raised trumpeting shoulders flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, English, circa 1915, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute report #104713.
