 Description

Ruby and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced ruby, in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.45 carats, surrounded by nine cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.65 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to trumpeting shoulders with carved linear detail and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, maker's mark 'T.H.M', circa 1890.
