 Description

Kashmir Royal Blue sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Royal Blue Kashmir sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.38 carats, flanked by eight round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.08 carats, to an elegant solitaire design with millegrain edging and curving claws, an intricately pierced openwork gallery featuring diamond shape motifs, the raised shoulders supported by cheniers, flowing to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1910. The origin, colour, clarity and shape of this sapphire make it one of the finest in the world. Accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Institute report #57802 and Gubelin Gemlab report #0610070.
