Edwardian old mine diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a cushon shape old mine diamond, 1.29 carats, K colour, SI2 clarity, with a weight of 1.29 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked by eight round eight cut diamonds in open back grain setting with a combined approximate weight of 0.16 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.45 carats, to an elegant flanked solitaire design featuring curving claws and polished edges, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #6223373730.
