Founded in 1915, the workshop of brothers Jean and Robert Rubel crafted pieces for many prestigious jewellery houses, including Ostertag and Lacloche. Most notably, they served as one of the principal workshops for Van Cleef & Arpels (VCA) during the 1920s.

In 1939, at the request of Van Cleef & Arpels, Jean and Robert Rubel moved to New York to manage VCA’s American workshop, entrusting their French workshop to their nephew, Marcel. In 1943, the brothers decided to part ways with VCA and established their own firm, John Rubel & Co., at 777 Fifth Avenue in New York, where they began designing and selling jewellery under their own name.

After nearly a decade of operating independently in America, the brothers closed their business and returned to France to reunite with their family.

For over three decades, Rubel Frères delighted clients with the quality and creativity of their jewellery. Today, their pieces continue to command admiration and respect from those fortunate enough to wear them.
