 Description

Jacobean posy ring 'HOPE + HELFETH + GREE'. The D-shape band engraved in seriffed capitals to the interior 'HOPE + HELFETH + GREE', (hope health agree), approximately 3.4mm in width. Tested yellow gold, approximately 2.3 grams in weight, circa 16-17th century.

Accompanied by documentation from the British Museum stating that this piece was found at Chislet, Kent in 2013, reference KENT-FEF154 under the Portable Antiquities Scheme; disclaimed as Treasure under the Treasure Act, reference 2013 T483.
