 Description

Gold posy ring 'Happy in thee, hath God made me'. A plain D-shape band, engraved to the interior in italic script 'Happy in thee, hath God made me', approximately 3.5mm in width. Tested yellow gold, approximately 2.9 grams in weight, indistinct maker's mark possibly 'TH', circa 18-19th century.

Accompanied by documentation from the British Museum and the Portable Antiquities Scheme stating that this ring was found whilst metal detecting at Angmering, West Sussex, UK on 1st June 2011. It is recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference SUSS-5FE1D7; and disclaimed under the Treasure Act, reference 2013T914.
