Edwardian diamond flanked solitaire ring. Set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.50 carats, flanked by six round rose cut diamonds in open back gain settings with a combined weight of 0.06 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.56 carats, to an elegant illusion set solitaire featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery and open backholing, leading to raised shoulders with chenier detail and millegrain edging and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, numbered '55', English, circa 1910.
