Colombian emerald and diamond cocktail ring. Set to centre with an octagonal emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald with minor clarity enhancement in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.00 carats, flanked by two rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.50 carats, further adorned by eighteen round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.36 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.86 carats, to an impressive heavy cluster featuring a linear design with corner claws, polished edges and fancy open backholing, leading to broad ridged shoulders and tapering to a solid shank. Marked platinum, indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1940, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #79178-09.
