 Description

Edwardian sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shaped old cut natural unenhanced sapphire in an open back grain setting, with an approximate weight of 1.20 carats, surrounded by fourteen round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings, with an approximate weight of 0.15 carats, to an elegant coronet cluster design featuring scalloped detailing, a pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by inwardly tapering shoulders that flow through to a solid D-shaped shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold and platinum, makers mark 'S.B&SLd' for S. Blanckensee & Son Ltd, English, circa 1905, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) report reference 5783-2744.
