Victorian diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with a cushion shape old cut diamond with an approximate weight of 0.80 carats in an open backclaw setting, surrounded by ten round old cut diamonds in open back claw and grain settings with a combined weight of 1.00 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.80 carats, to a coronet cluster form with stylised claws, an intricately pierced openwork gallery and fancy open backholing, flanked by trumpeting shoulders flowing through to a solid flat shank. Tested 18 carat rose gold, French import marks, English, circa 1890.
