Art Deco solitaire diamond engagement ring. Centrally set with a rectangular baguette cut diamond in an open back four claw setting with a weight of 0.70 carats, additionally set to the shoulders with two triangular old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.60 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.30 carats, to a square collet with a finely pierced gallery and geometric backholing, the trumpeting diamond set shoulders with millegrain decoration and proceeding to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1935.
