Colombian emerald and diamond crossover ring. Set with an octagonal emerald-cut natural Colombian emerald with moderate oil in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.49 carats, further set with a round old cut diamond, J colour, VS2 clarity, with a weight of 1.33 carats in an open back claw setting, flanked by eight round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.14 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.47 carats, to an elegant crossover design featuring curving claws, an intricately pierced gallery with fancy shape open backholing, flanked by engraved shoulders featuring swirling motifs which terminate through to a tapering solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum and yellow gold, circa 1915, accompanied by Swiss Gemmological Insitute report #123700 and Gemmological Institute of America (GIA) report #2225422690.
