 Description

Ceylon sapphire and diamond crossover ring. Set with one cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.10 carats, further set with one cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.75 carats, decorated with ten cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.85 carats, to an elegant crossover design featuring curving claws and polished edges, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to asymmetric tapering shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1910, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-2746.
